Across Elis David Almhouses and St Saviour’s Court, we provide homes for older people in Croydon where residents can live independently while being part of a welcoming community.
Our almshouses offer more than a place to live – we offer opportunities to connect with each other and the local community, support wellbeing and enable residents to continue managing their own lives.
Our Grant Fund
What is Croydon Almshouses Grant Fund?
Croydon Almshouses Grant Fund (formerly Croydon Relief in Need Grant Fubd) awards grants to people living in Croydon who are experiencing hardship due to poverty, age, disability or other disadvantage.
Our grants are usually awarded twice-yearly to the voluntary, community and faith sector and individuals who meet our criteria.
What do we Fund?
Our grants have supported a wide range of initiatives, including:
- Counselling and mentoring services
- Social opportunities for young and older people
- Addiction recovery services
- Domestic violence support
- One-off grants to individuals in need
